2016: A Year of Creativity

2016 had been a colorful year for me. I've been painting since 2015 as part of a subject in my college course that time. I never knew that I will fall in love with it and make it a hobby. On January 2016, I posted two watercolor paintings and many people liked it so I was inspired to create more. Surprisingly, one of my artworks has been featured on an art page as well. I also posted an artwork of mine on Guhit Pinas (--an art group wherein Filipino artists post their artworks and exchange ideas/tips with co-members) and it gained more than thousands of likes. I was very motivated to create art and share my talent to others. On February 2016, I created this blog and also started doing art tutorials on youtube

February, you have been the most creative month for me... YET! I still can't believe that I was able to launch my own blog. Putting up this page was the last possible thing I thought I can do. Thanks to my family and friends who encouraged me to fulfill my little dream. This month, I was so inspired so I was able to make a lot of artworks.

I create art (just) because I want to express my own thoughts and feelings. That's it. Some of my friends told me before that I can actually sell my artworks but I hesitated. "Who would buy my paintings?"; "There are lot of artists that are better than me."... those were the thoughts I had in my mind. Sadly, I didn't believe in myself. Then one day, my grandmother told me the same thing and finally I had the guts to try selling them. And for this month's highlight, I sold two (2) paintings (photos below)!

| I don't know that I have the capabilities to do these things. I always compare myself to others that's why sometimes I feel so weak. But today, I've learned that I should always believe in myself. Therefore, I will turn my can'ts into cans and dreams into plans. Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. MAKE IT HAPPEN. :) (More artworks coming soon...) |
